Blowin heavy smoke, just to get through the days
Yeah I’ve been lookin’ for a change, but I’m still stuck in my ways
Tryna do what’s right and pull up outta this phase
Life is too chaotic, got me stuck in a haze
Droppin’ habits, so I don’t go down in a blaze
Can’t let ‘em take me off the path, cuz that’s not how I was raised
Just tryna bring on new horizons from the things that I say
Steering clear of the decisions that just left me astray
Days are moving too fast, we can’t keep up with the speed
And I don’t think we understand, tomorrow’s not guaranteed
Yeah, I say that I just wanna succeed
But there’s a message to be spread, and I’m just plantin’ the seed
To show us the true beauty of all that we could be
That we don’t have to kill each other just so we eat
We feel the holes burnin’ underneath our feet
Yet we’re takin’ it out on each other, wonderin’ why we’re incomplete
Keep wondering why we’re incomplete
Yeah we’re just livin through this insatiable feelin’
Keep rippin ourselves apart, leavin no room for the healin’
Too many people caught up in the robbin’ and the stealin’
Half of y’all don’t even need to, you just wanna look appealin’
Nobody got the guts to say what’s really in their heart
Most of us have already been broken from the start
And I really think it’s time we do our part
To take the time of day to make sure we don’t fall apart
Evil punctures straight through this world like a dart
And it’s causing way too many people to depart
Keep on adding to the list, another tally to the chart
When all that anybody needs is just a little bit of support

Just A Theory

This world’s been taken over by greed
Oblivious to all the people in need
Starvin’ children that we never make an effort to feed
Everybody’s only worried ‘bout how THEY succeed
But no one will be a leader and take on a simple deed
Or even just say bless you, ‘cause it’s “morality exceeding”
We see the gash of a generation bleedin’
Yet we do nothin’ to stop the cycle, it just keeps repeating
I start to wonder, could we all come together
And ever ease the conflict that’s divided us forever
I know we’re fightin’ but we still could do better
I genuinely can’t begin to comprehend the pressure
Why we go to such measures just to pose as aggressors
I think we need a refresher of why we’re all in distress
Our minds consumed by the signs, and they live off our fear
It’s just to alter our progression and the message is clear
The message is clear
We’re all just moving pieces, they don’t even want us here
They’d love to kill us off in just a couple of years
But they monetize our humanity to fund their careers
So here’s my message to those with open ears
It’s up to us, we gotta wipe up the tears
Don’t let your good heart be swallowed by your careless peers
We just wanna do right, and they just wanna interfere
And these are values that I hold dear
With unity, I believe that we’ll truly persevere
I just really hope that there’s somebody who can hear me when I say that world peace isn’t only just a theory
